Indiana Jones & Ally McBeal Got Married?

by , in
Dear Me,

Oh yes! I am so surprised.

I knew they were an item before and never thought their romance would reach beyond wedding rites. It was not because of the age gap thingie but because I assumed their relationship was a simple fling. *bonkself*

I both love these two pleasant Hollywood celebrities.

Harrison Ford will always be a hero to me. He mesmerized me in Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Air Force One, Extraordinary Measures, among others.

On the other hand, Calista Flockhart aka Ally McBeal is the reason behind my frustrated desire to be a lawyer and why I have come to love watching serious (or not) courtroom drama tv shows.

Apparently, they have been together for eight years before getting married last June 15, 2010 at a Santa Fe mansion of Governor Bill Richardson.

Harrison Ford, 67, and Calista Flockhart, 45, met during the 2002 Golden Globes.

Cheers to the newlyweds! To a happy life!

Mommy Moments - Daddy Moments

by , in
Dear Me,

This is the first time that Miguel & I will be celebrating Father's Day without hubby. He is now based overseas for work. I guess we will just celebrate the occasion with my folks.

I miss him and I'm certain that my little boy does, too.

Being frequent SM mall shopper, we never fail to visit Toy Kingdom. Most often than not, the little boy takes home a new toy courtesy of his father.

The photo above was taken during one of our toy-shopping visits at the store. I am not just sure if that mascot was that of Toy Kingdom. He was more like a mascot from Eveready battery. LOL.

Taken last holiday when both of my boys opened their gifts from me. Hehehe. See the smile of glee from Miguel when he saw that he had new shoes? :)

And for the big guy? Few sets of long sleeve polo shirts. Well, he was with me when we bought it in the mall. I just had it wrapped. Hehehe.

These last two photos were actually the last shots they had together before hubby flew abroad the following day.

It is just less than five months since he 'went away' and yet, I can see how fast the little boy has grown (basing on the photos).

To you honey, happy Father's Day! We will always be here loving and waiting for you! :)

Criminal Minds' Jennifer Jareau To Leave The Show

by , in
Dear Me,

This is sad news. I like J.J. (aka AJ Cook). Criminal Minds' FBI BAU Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer "JJ" Jareau will not join the rest of the team in the upcoming sixth season.

The show's producers did not renew AJ Cook's contract due to 'creative reasons.' I'm not sure what it exactly mean but the change is not really needed. After all, they have solid, consistently high ratings. I am also thinking that the decision probably has something to do with the spin-off. I hope the replacement will fit the cast and fill the void.

Another character who is also being affected by the network's creative decision is FBI BAU Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss (placed by Paget Brewster). She will be appearing in a reduced number of episodes.

I don't really understand but these two female characters are well-loved in the show. They're smart, independent and acting-wise, they're kick-ass.

And if ever they remove my beloved Supervisory Special Agent/Unit Chief Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner from the show, I'm gonna scream!

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has declared June 30 as a holiday to give way for the inauguration rites of the incoming 15th commander-in-chief of the Philippines, President-elect Benigno Aquino III.

The inauguration will happen at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park in Manila.

The formal declaration will be issued later.

Favorite Comic Book-Turned-Movie Girl Heroes

by , in
Dear Me,

I am no comic book fan. But I love them depicted on the big screen. :)

With that, here are my top five favorite comic book-turned-movie oozing with girl power (honestly, I dislike that term but I just cannot find the right word for it).

Abigail Whistler
played by Jessica Biel in Blade 3

Catwoman
played by Halle Berry in Catwoman

Sue Storm
played by Jessica Alba in Fantastic Four

Elektra
played by Jennifer Garner in Elektra

And my most favorite:

Lara Croft
played by Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider

I heard Black Widow played by Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2 had something to say for herself, too. I still have to watch it, though.
