Dying In Their Homeland

Dear Me,

I was moved by this. The Jennings left the Philippines to search for a much greener, better and comfortable life elsewhere. They recently came here to spend their much-needed vacation, only to meet such tragedy.

It all happened here and it was so ironic that the local media hadn't even wound up any report about this. So, who's keeping this news away from us?

It is understandable that our tourism efforts will suffer a setback once this news gets out. But I guess, we owe it to the grieving family to let this tragic event be known to other people. I just hope the local media will handle this news with sensitivity and that informing the public about this will serve its purpose.

To mother and son, Josefina & Christopher Jennings, may you both rest in peace.
