TeachersFirst.com

Dear Me,

As a first-time dad, hubby is so excited and has started buying books for
Miguel. I am pleased because I want my son to share my passion for reading.

I want him to start reading at a young age. It's a nice way of instilling virtues since kids their age are continually developing.

I have been looking for a list of babies' and children's book and accidentally hopped into
TeachersFirst.com. Designed for teachers, parents and students alike, this website offers practical and user-friendly resources for learning.

On the other side, I would love to share what I found in this site:

  • 100 Best Books - selected by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1999 as great reading for children and young people.

  • Educators' Top 100 Children's Books - a compiled list of best quality literature books based on NEA's online survey in 2007.

Moms and dads out there, feel free to visit their site and teach your kids to love literature and reading in general. =)

  1. I think I’ll do the same when I’ve got my own kids too. It would be very important for them to learn reading as a valuable tool, and at the same time, a source of happiness, because one of our main sources of knowledge are in the written works.
