I ought to take a breather. I kinda got distracted reading when my sister came up in MY corner and asked about something related to family matters. That something has created a tiff between my folks for weeks. They're both in good terms as of last week but my sister coming up tells me something heated is brewing in the air. Hotter than my cup of coffee.
Anyway, it would be nice to finish my fourth book in the list, The Hitler File: The Essential Facts by Patrick Delaforce but I am not hoping. I'm still on my 34th page of my third book, The President's Daughter by Jack Higgins.
Twenty years after his affair with a beautiful Frenchwoman in Vietnam, Jake Cazalet finds out he has a daughter. He must keep it a secret -- but years later, when he is President of the United States, someone discovers the truth.
And when his only child is kidnapped by a terrorist group, he must count on British operative Sean Dillon and FBI agent Blake Johnson to find her.
Actually, I like this book. So smooth and my kind of book, too!
Here's what I'm having:
I'm having egg pie from Goldilocks. Yumyum!
Mouth watering creamy custard filling baked in a special pie crust and cooked to the right tenderness with a caramelized top.
