Feeling sentimental tonight.
(David Glasper/Marcus Lillington)
As I watch you move
Across the moonlit room
There's so much tenderness in your loving
Tomorrow I must leave
The dawn knows no reprieve
God give me strength, when I am leaving
REFRAIN:
So raise your hands to heaven and pray
That we'll be back together someday
CHORUS:
(And) Tonight I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness
As we move to embrace
Tears run down your face
I whisper words of love so softly
I can't believe this pain
It's drivin' me insane
Without your touch, life will be lonely
REFRAIN:
So raise your hands to heaven and pray
That we'll be back together someday
CHORUS:
(And) Tonight I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness
Morning has come another day
I must pack my bags and say goodbye
Goodbye...
CHORUS:
Tonight I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness
Tonight I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness
New
Hands To Heaven

I LOVE this song. The guy who sang the remake reminds me of my college guy... I stop and watch everytime the video is on. I can be so sappy sometimes, it makes even ME sick...
ReplyDeleteIf I am right, it was Christian Bautista who did the remake. I used to hear this song before but it never got to me. Maybe because it was old song. When this young guy did the remake, I was somehow touched by it.
ReplyDeleteNow I am teling myself, "hey, shake it up. You're being mushy now." Hehehe.
ian(",) : i like that song too!!!
ReplyDeleteIan, hehehe. Gandanga, pang-emote. :)
