Obscure Books Shops

Since I am an outright sucker for books, I go out of my way to hunt for new book sanctuaries aside that of NBS and Powerbooks. It is a good thing that Ms. Vanessa of PW listed them down. I have visited some of the book havens in the list and it just felt great to check them out. Anyway, visit the areas for yourself.


Popular Bookstore: Timog, Morato
Bound: somewhere in QC (small shop with lots of books on poetry & erotica)
UP Press Bookstore: Balay Kalinaw, UP Diliman
La Solidaridad: Padre Faura, Manila
Libris: Paranaque
Books For Less: Pearl Drive (near UA&P)
Books For Less: Roces Avenue
Booktopia: Eastwood, Libis
Aeon Books: Katipunan, QC

    meron ka na namang nakalimutan ngayong araw na ito. :(

    anyway, inform lang kita na may isang 'not-so-popular' book shop sa likod ng bldg. namin sa Pearl Drive, tapat ng UA&P :)

    Nakapunta na ako sa Popular Bkstore kasi sinamahan ko yung mom ko noon. Cool rin yung mga books nila dun, mga hard to find talaga. :)

    Hi! u might want to visit datelines bookstore at the Marikina Shoe Expo in Cubao, just a stall away from Bellinni's restaurant if you know the place :)

    Don't forget the outlets of BOOKSALE. If you're patient, you can find rare books there. I got my copy of Bernard Malamud's "The Fixer" from BOOKSALE at a very low price of P40. That was more than a decade ago. Hehe.

    krishnna & Abaniko, thanks for the tips. I heard about Datelines and the place is good. Sometimes, I checked on BookSale but I rarely find nice ones there. Maybe I need to look 'deeper'...hehehe. :)

    I am thinking of adding all your suggestions in the entry above. So check it out later.
