What's On Your Nightstand: September 2010

Dear Me,

I have been looking forward to joining this book carnival from 5 Minutes For Books for months now. Although I have been a little lax in my reading activity for the past months due to family obligations and travels, I make sure that I finish one book per month.

I'm participating What's On Your Nightstand? for the FIRST TIME. It's a nice way to connect with other book lovers and share each other's monthly reading pile. On your nightstand, it can be a heavy tome that you are currently pinning on or a couple of paperbacks that you are simultaneously reading. What's on Your Nightstand? happens on the FOURTH Tuesday of every month.

Basically it's our monthly excuse to talk books, to drool over other people's books, and to try to organize our reading plans.

I find pleasure in discovering books that have been read and openly recommended by other book bloggers. With this, I am gearing up myself for an upcoming reading marathon that is bound to happen next month.

Currently on my nightstand:

  1. Notes From A Small Island by Bill Bryson

  2. Becoming Americana by Lara Rios

  3. Toujours Provence by Peter Mayle

  4. Mary Kay: The Success Story of America's Most Dynamic Businesswoman by Mary Kay Ash

  5. Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult

Yay! I'm hell-bent on accomplishing the books I said I would read this year. But for now, I'm focused on these five books on my nightstand. Has anybody read any of these books already? If you have, what part had the most appeal to you?

  1. Welcome to Nightstand!! We love getting new folks linking up with us. :)

I've never actually read any Jodi Picoult, but I've gotten many recommendations.

    Enjoy your month reading!

  3. I haven't read any of those--but the Jodi Picoult one sounds interesting. She always writes such socially/emotionally charged fiction.

Glad you joined us for this go-round!
