Tagboard

by , in
Dear Me,

I really don't understand why I cannot put a chatbox/tagboard in my sidebar. Hmm.

I am still hunting for a new blog template that can accommodate one. Unfortunately, I cannot find one that I totally like.

Meantime, I am putting this entry on top of other recent entries. Those who want to tag me in my chatbox, please kindly

Post-2006: Freebies

by , in
Dear Me,

I have been busy lately and I almost forgot to post some entries from since-I-don't know-when. Hehehe.

As I mentioned before, 2006 had been a freebie year for me. Aside from this and this, I also got the following:

Hey pals! Thanks for the freebies. =)

Post-2006: Holiday Shopping & Gifts

by , in
Dear Me,

Here is another backlog entry for December.

If I remember it right, I started shopping for the holidays a mere three (3) days before Christmas. Well, it was a typical rush holiday shopping. It was funny to think how everyone would complain and curse about the hordes of people finding their way inside the malls.

Every year, we vow not to do this exhausting activity anymore and yet, we still find ourselves amongst the throng of people pushing here, there and everywhere, trying to find the best presents of them all for each and every loved one and friends we have.

Yes. We, holiday shoppers, never learn.

gifts for my folks, siblings, papi & his siblings

It is a stunning fact of life that no matter how well we are aware of the appalling possibilities, we still proceed head-on to the malls, armed with our cash and credit cards, during this very special season.

some of the gifts initially wrapped for good friends

As a matter of fact and for as long as I could remember, I was more than delighted to hunt for the nicest presents for everyone in the malls from the north to the south of the metropolis. For once, I never thought how I would totally maxxed out my credit cards. It was a very good feeling. Hehehe.

Post-2006: 5S Result

by , in
Dear Me,

It seems like I have a lot of backlog entries for 2006.

2006 had been a buzzing year for me especially during the last quarter of the year. With all the hectic work, family responsibilities, outdoor indulgence, social meetings and gimmicks, emotional downtime, holiday celebrations plus the rush shopping and other miscellaneous errands, I wanted to give up from the fatigue. But no, the excitement and the thrill was too much for me to yield everything up.

Anyway, I rather post them all here so I have something to look back to someday. =)

In last year's post regarding conducting 5s in our work station, I can say that I am successful in doing this activity. My work area is now devoid of unwanted mess. I can see the glass covering my table without any effort at all. Hehehe.

There is only one question left. How long will this last? Rather, how long can I maintain my area from turning into a mountain of clutter again? Hmm.

Friday Morning Blues

by , in
Dear Me,

I thought I would be having a good Friday morning. Hmp. I was informed an hour ago that the 3-days vacation leave I filed would be considered VL without pay. I was told that I should have filed it beforehand. I know that, for goodness' sake. Didn't she understand the part that it was such an unexpected trip - given the fact that my flight ticket was confirmed a few hours before the day of my flight??? We are just a small company and it would really be nice if she gives me a little consideration. I know it is my fault but I surely would like her to give me some credit once in a while.

I shouldn't have told her in the first place about my trip to Singapore. I told her something different then but I took it back two (2) days after because I felt guilty. For being honest, this is what I get.

That really sucks big time and inside me, I want to be irritated. My, my, my! My 3-days pay that is supposed to go to my credit card payments went poof. Yeah, gone with the wind. Blasted.

From now on, I vow to be different here at work. I promise to follow the rules no matter how absurd they may be. I am also expecting myself to be a little aloof from now on. My secrets are mine and no one has the right to pester me with information. I don't care the hell if you die because of curiosity.

Unexpected & Unplanned Trip To Singapore

by , in
Dear Me,

It has been three (3) days since I arrived from my very unusual trip in
Singapore, otherwise known as the Lion City.

Unusual because it was a trip I never planned to take in such a very, very short notice (as in less than 24 hours). So, how could anyone expect me to be ready? Ahehehe. Goodness. I was having headaches and goosebumps from the tension.

Well, despite that, everything turned out well. I had great fun and it was the best trip ever I could think of.

I promise to come back and if things are wonderfully meant to be, I will be staying there for quite a while. Hihihi! =)

Photos will be out soon.

Tayo Na Sa Mt. Cinco Picos - Open Climb

by , in
Dear Me,

This was an open climb organized by the Rotary Club of Freeport Zone and Yabag Mountaineers last October 2006. Proceeds from the climb would be used in financing the community service activities of the Rotary.

Mount Cinco Picos was introduced to other mountaineers as an alternative destination hike in Zambales. Mountaineers have a chance to see other mountains such as Rounded Peak (Bundok Dayungan) and Pointed Peak (Bundok Balingkilat) in Subic, Zambales.

Mount Cinco Picos (locals calls it Tatlong Tirad) is located in Subic, Zambales. It is one of the training grounds of US Marine when they still have bases in Olongapo City. It is also one of the hunting grounds of Aetas and wild boar and deer are the common animals that can be found in the area.

We were twelve (12) people from our group who participated in the open climb. Despite some minor nuisances, I guessed we were lucky enough -- we left Manila on time, the weather was good despite typhoon Paeng was just behind our backs, campsite was good, the jeepney we were riding did not encounter any trouble, proper timing in leaving Subic because right after dinner, there was a bus waiting for everyone.

To
Mike, thanks for inviting us. =)

Freebie 2

by , in
Dear Me,

It was during the last week of December when I got this text message from my mobile phone. It said congratulations and that I won something for myself - a PhP500 worth of Gift Certificate from Philosophy Spa or Mikaela Salon.

At first, I thought it was a hoax. It was not. I scrolled all the way down and learned that I won the gc c/o
PEP Christmas Ball Promo. I remembered taking that online promo due to boredom at work. I was surfing through blogs and found the Philippine Entertainment Portal link. I thought why not try it out. So I did. I never thought for a second about winning. Hehehe. I must be lucky. =)

It was January 2nd when I claimed it. My brother and his girlfriend were in the area so I asked them to meet me at Robinson's Galleria Mall. We went to the Summit Media office and looked for Ms. Sharlyn Kaw (whom I didn't expect to be that friendly...hehehe).

Now, I am thinking of either giving this to Mamu, my sister or to Jeff's gf. Hmm.

After claiming my prize, I told them that they were in a snack treat from me if they would accompany me one more time. I needed to make triplicate copies of our door key so hunting Mr. Quickie would do the trick.

After getting the new set of keys, I asked them where would they want to dine. The two (2) lovebirds wanted Krispy Kreme but Jon told me that there wasn't a KK store in the mall. Too bad.

Anyway, we landed at Pizza Hut and ordered a platter of calamari, family-size Sausage Stuffed Crust Super Supreme Pizza and three (3) glasses of bottomless iced tea.

jepoy & ayin

It was supposed to be a snack treat but with our stomachs full, I guessed we already took dinner. My brother kept on complaining how full he was. =)

I left them at the mall when the clock ticked 6:00 in the evening. I had to meet papi at Makati since he was bound to leave for Cebu the next day.

Anyway, that's all folks!
